Teen Bible Study: There will be a teen bible study following services today in the fireside room.

 

 

Pot Luck and Game Night October 31: Following services today we will be having a pot luck and game night.  Please bring a dish to share for the pot luck and games to share for the game night.  Beverages, paper goods and plastic ware will be provided.  As usual we will start the game night with Bingo and then continue with whatever games people bring and want to play. PLEASE NOTE – we are planning to dim the lights in the foyer to not draw outside attention to our event. Please help us in this regard. 
 Gifts for Game Night: Please bring the gift already wrapped and label with who it is to and from.

Daylight Savings: Mark your calendar on Sunday, November 1st to change your time for daylight savings! 

 

Congratulations Party – Jonathan Mencel: We are planning an open house/pot luck on November 7th after church.  This is to celebrate Jonathan Mencel becoming a lawyer.  If you would like to come, please RSVP to Chuck or Joanne Zutz. 
 

Prayer Request Update: Margo L. – Margo had the opportunity to move from the nursing home this week to another facility which should be better for her. Her new address is north of Valley Creek, East of Century but west of the Woodbury Middle School. 
 

Winter Camp Registration: Registration deadline for campers is November 15th for Winter Camp 2009 in Montello, WI. Tuition cost: $250 Dates: December 28-January 3. Activities This year’s activities include: basketball, capture the flag, Christian Living, cross country skiing, dance, broom ball, horseback riding, ice skating, snow speed-away, team challenge, tubing, volleyball, indoor games, and more. WOMEN"S CONFERENCE POTLUCK (Nov 14): Combined services in Minneapolis will be held on the Sabbath of Nov 14th at Edinbrook Elem. School.  A potluck dinner will be served after services.  There will be many out-of-town visitors coming for the Women's Conference, so please be generous with the food you bring.

Many of the women will be leaving early to attend the opening meeting of the Women's Conf.  Several men are needed to help with cleanup after the potluck.  Please see Cory Erickson if you are able to help.

 

 

TWIN CITIES WOMEN'S CONFERENCE – “Finding Peace” 

The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind.  Phil.  4:7 
One more week to register for the Women’s Conference coming on November 14th and 15th!  Grab a friend and make plans to attend.  It will be one of the best days you’ll share with fellow sisters in the faith – there will be lots of time for laughing and learning.  It will be a day of refreshment for all.  The registration deadline is November 6th!  All information is located online at www.ucgwomensconf.org.  register and shop online!!  Pay via Paypal or credit card. Combined Sabbath Services will be held at Edinbrook Elementary School (8925 Zane Ave N - Brooklyn Park, MN) at 2:30 PM.  Everyone is invited for a potluck meal following services.  Beginning at 7 PM, we will gather at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites (5901 Wayzata Blvd – St. Louis Park MN  55416) for an enjoyable evening of fellowship and fun.  The Conference begins at 8:30 AM on Sunday, November 15th at the Metropolitan  Ballroom and Clubroom (5418 Wayzata Blvd – St. Louis Park, MN  55416) – lunch is included.

Swim Party: The Minneapolis church will sponsor another swim party this December 26th at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington.  Services will be there followed by a meal and swimming.  If you would like to make a weekend get-away and stay overnight either Friday or Saturday, or both, the rate is $89 plus tax.  Check with Dan Creed for details.

 

Winter Family Weekend: It is time once again to make your plans and reservations to join us in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Winter Family Weekend event.  Come join your family and friends for four days of education, sports, fun and fellowship.  You may pick up a flyer today at the back table after services with details on this year’s event.  You may also go to http://wfw.ucg.org for information.  Book now and don’t be left out in the cold!  An information sheet is available on the Information Table.
