Teen Bible Study: There will be a teen bible study following services today in the fireside room. There is another teen bible study scheduled to following services on October 31st in the fireside room.
Young Adults Game Night: Join us for an evening of games on Saturday, October 24th at Grand Slam in Burnsville. Grand Slam offers a Saturday-night special: unlimited laser tag, mini golf, and bumper cars for $10 from 8PM to midnight. Please RSVP to Dustin Ellison. See you there!
Pot Luck and Game Night October 31: Following services on October 31 we will be having a pot luck and game night. Please bring a dish to share for the pot luck and games to share for the game night. Beverages, paper goods and plastic ware will be provided. As usual we will start the game night with Bingo and then continue with whatever games people bring and want to play.
Help Needed for Game Night: We will be setting up the fellowship hall for the pot luck and game night on Friday afternoon October 30 (exact time will be announced soon). If you can come and help set up it would be greatly appreciated, please let Amy Allwine know.
Gifts for Game Night: You can bring your gifts from the Feast for the Game night any time during the next 3 weeks and we will store them for the Game Night on October 31. Please bring the gift already wrapped and label with who it is to and from.
TWIN CITIES WOMEN'S CONFERENCE - NOVEMBER 14-15, 2009: The 2009 Twin Cities Women’s Conference is quickly approaching. This year, many wonderful ladies are coming to share their insight on “Finding Peace” with us during the Conference. Colleen Winner, a third generation Christian, is coming from Kentucky to deliver the keynote address. Raeann Dowd has recently relocated to Kansas with her family and will deliver a workshop on “Daniella and the Lion’s Den.” Sandy Cafourek hails from Oregon and will share her lively wit with us during her workshop on “Keys to a Peaceful Heart.” South Dakota native, Jean Cline will lead an interactive workshop on how we can find “Peace in Prayer.” Julie Zutz will be flying up from Houston to direct our Round Table Discussion entitled “When Life Hands You Lemons and You’re Out of Sugar” and also deliver a workshop on ways we can “Resolve Conflict as Christian Women.”
We hope you will make plans to join us on November 14 and 15th – we will have many opportunities for fellowship and learning together during the day. November 6th is the last day to register.
The Conference will be held at the Metropolitan Ballroom & Clubroom located at 5418 Wayzata Boulevard, Golden Valley, MN 55416. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites only minutes away from the Metropolitan. Room rates are $69/night. Jonathan Mencel Passes Bar: Jonathan found out during the feast that he passed the MN bar exam. Congratulations!!
Cal Lee Prayer Request Update: Thanks to all of you for your many notes, greeting cards and postcards sent to Cal Lee during the Feast. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and kindness very much.
Cal's physical condition is much the same as it has been. However, his memory and comprehension have decreased noticeably over the past couple weeks.
